Cal. 36. S# 104238. Bbl 4" octagon with German silver semi-circular front sight. Five shot round cylinder with 5 oval panels having military or naval themed roll engraving. Blue & case colored finish with silver finished grip straps. One piece walnut grips. Estimated production of 78,000 ca. 1859-1868. CONDITION: bbl shows over 70% mottled blue with scattered pitting. Cylinder has faded to gray retaining good oval scenes. Frame shows traces of case colors with spots of pitting. Grip straps show some silver. Grips show handling marks with wear around butt and small chips at the toe of both panels. Functioning action shows wear. Lightly pitted bore retains intact rifling. (01-29071/DS).
